Welcome to the latest edition of Property News from Hoopers Estate Agents, which will be distributed every quarter during 2025 to keep you informed as to what is happening in your local housing market in NW2, NW10 and NW9.

2024 has been another challenging year for the housing market mostly due to the hangover of higher interest rates, however property prices locally have remained fairly steady with one or two excellent prices being achieved in prime locations. Demand from first time buyers has been continuous throughout the year mainly due to stamp duty incentives and whereas house prices dipped during 2023 conversely rents increased and this has prompted many renters to buy a property.

Properties in the middle to upper regions of say over £900,000 have struggled more to find purchasers due to these properties invariably not being fi rst time buyer products and with many people still in fixed rate mortgages from two or three years ago one can understand their reluctance to relinquish their fi xed rate deal and pay higher interest rates to move house and competitive pricing of these larger houses is essential to ensure their saleability. Read more...
