Celebrating 40 Years

In 2024, we are delighted to be celebrating 40 years of Hoopers.

In 1984 although we had the telephone we operated by pen and paper and by licking many stamps! Property brochures were posted to potential buyers and advertised in local newspapers. It’s amazing how things have changed since then, but our traditional customer service and enthusiasm for helping families move home remains unchanged.

Our company has shaped itself into one of the most successful selling and letting agents in NW2,  NW10 and NW9. Our experience in sales and lettings is second to none, reflected by our longevity and regular repeat clients.

History

Known as the longest established estate agent in the local area, Hoopers Estate Agents was formed in 1983 by the late Frederick M Hooper (FSVA) and John Hooper (FNAEA). Our first office was opened in April 1984 at Neasden Lane North. Prior to establishing Hoopers in 1984, Frederick Hooper had successfully run and owned Hooper & Co at 12 High Road, Willesden Green in the 1960s and was a partner in Hoopers until his death in January 1989.

Since then, the business has been run by John Hooper with the assistance of his able team of sales and lettings negotiators and administration staff, most of whom have been involved with the company for a long time and live locally. We are proud that our team are involved with the local community and thereby maintain our family friendly reputation in the local area.

John Hooper was born and grew up in Dollis Hill. John’s love for the local area and willingness to help the local community through his in-depth knowledge and passion for property, ensure that he and his team work tirelessly to ensure that our customer’s moving journeys are as stress-free as possible. With close to 50 years of experience in the property industry, John leads his team to provide unrivalled customer service.

Values

We pride ourselves on still having the same ambition and drive for running an independent and successful customer focused estate agency as we did 40 years ago. Our appetite for providing our customers with the best possible service when moving home is stronger now that it’s ever been.

Our longevity means we are helping second and third generations of families move home. Helping the grandchildren of customers we assisted forty years ago has truly made us a ‘housesold name’ in Neasden and the surrounding areas.

Over the years, there have been many opportunities to open further offices across London. However, we have always felt that this did not align with our values of being a specialist agent with extensive experience in the local community. We do not want to dilute our values and are dedicated to property selling and letting throughout NW2, NW10 and NW9.
